Outline of Bagball

Introduction

"Bagball" is a game played by 2 teams aiming to get goals like football or basketball.
We usually play 3 vs 3 game.
The ball is a large crate containing many kindlings, over 400 stones.
In official games, weight of the ball must be 30,000 stones or more.

Rough history of Bagball

"Bagball" was invented in a players' town "Spiritwood" on the Europa shard in 2000 Spring.
Originally, its rules were similar to Rugby-football, and "a bag" was used as the ball.
In 2001 Autumn, Bagball was introduced to Japan and modified its rules based on basketball, as currently we play.
Now it is called "asian-style" or "Japanese-style" in foreign websites and UO official site.

The Official Court

All Japanese shards have "The Official Bagball Court" in the farm west of Britain, behind the Castle in Felucca.
(Malas arena is not used under our rules)
Each of them consists of 2 full courts and a half court, a clubhouse and a meditation room, like a SportsComplex.
It is used to play official tournaments or league games or lecture.
Many players come and play games everyday.

Brief rules of the game

Goals are scored by placing the ball on the goal table.
When a team scored 5 goals, a set will be over.
Usually, one set game is played.
At official games, getting 2 sets is required to win a game.

Illegal actions; Wearing a bear mask is allowed because we can see the ball clearly.
More rules for official games are shown on BagBall Japan Official Site (JP)orWBL local rules page (JP).
